THE FIRST RESULTS OF WINTER JEAN MONNET SCHOOL IN SUMY
The first Winter Jean Monnet School “Financial aspects of the European integration for PhD students and young scientists” was held on 26 January – 4 February 2015 at the state higher educational institution “the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine”.
Holding of Winter Jean Monnet School was made possible because of grant program of EU Erasmus+.
The project provided holding of short-term academic courses for PhD students, graduate students, who have scientific achievements and interests in the issues of European financial integration.
The project included lectures with teachers from the Ukrainian Academy of Banking and specialists from Europe. Lectures covered theoretical issues and practical mechanisms of implementation of Ukrainian financial integration into the EU.
The project participants had the opportunity to listen to the Skype lecture of the Professor of Jean Monnet Chair Pasquale Tridico from the Roma Tre University (Italy) on “European Governance and Crisis Responses”.
In the end of the courses the participants had to present their own projects which are devoted to financial issues of European integration. They noted that the Winter Jean Monnet School had proved high professionalism of lecturers and teachers.
The cultural program of the School was also full of content. Thus, the participants visited the Museum of Banking Development in Sumy region, an exhibition of modern batik, communicated with Sumy painters in municipal gallery and visited the House-Museum of Anton Chekhov.
Finally, the Chair of Banking Department, Professor Tetyana Vasylyeva presented certificates, which prove the passing of courses within the program of Erasmus+.
